Power projects often share the same site area with communication systems, roads, fences, and service buildings. The first step is to tell each tower type apart. A communications tower is a towering structure used primarily to support wireless communications equipment. A power tower has another task. It keeps conductors and ground wires in a safe position so electricity can pass through the line route.

This difference affects drawings, foundation points, and inspection work. An angular steel transmission tower is usually made from many angle steel members. It is easy to divide into small parts for transport. A self-supporting transmission tower stands without guy wires, so it needs a stronger base and a clear check of wind load before production.

For a mixed site, the project team should check tower height, clearance, grounding, access road width, and lifting space before delivery. If these points are confirmed early, the factory can mark members, pack bolts by section, and reduce wrong assembly on site. The result is not only faster installation. It also helps maintenance workers find each part clearly later.

For this reason, tower selection should start from equipment load, site access, future inspection work, and the distance needed for safe operation.
